Cíara, what do you do at Visionpath?
My role is managing and coordinating a number of the programmes and projects we run here at Visionpath. I work with a varied audience including students, schools and employers on a daily basis to create inspirational activities for young people and clients alike.
What is special for you about working at Visionpath?
Creating inspirational programmes for students, being part of their career journey.
I remember back to when I was in Sixth Form and I had no idea what I wanted to do but I also thought I knew it all! I was one of the lucky ones to receive support and guidance from the people around me and now I want to be that person for others. Working at Visionpath allows me to motivate others to find their passion and follow their desired pathway. My role allows me to do this daily.
Plus I work in a great team and have lots of variety - no two days are the same!
What attracted you to the role initially?
It stood out to me as I was interested in utilising both my Business degree and my educational background, having worked in teaching back home in Ireland. I wanted to help others realise their potential and be inspired for their future. Leaving school is a scary thought and having some guidance throughout this process makes a huge difference - I wanted to be the person to help make that difference.
How do you like to work?
I like a relaxed atmosphere where everyone is respectful of each other. Being given the opportunity to be creative in my role and to know I am contributing in a positive way to the business.
In the office we enjoy working together as a team to deliver great programmes for employers and students. I sometimes bring my dog Twilight with me and I like to listen to music, drink coffee and have the occasional chat - what's life without laughter?!
