So, what does being an Early Careers Assistant involve?
I support the talent team in helping students from low socio-economic backgrounds find their future in big industries they might not otherwise have had a chance to get into.
What made you want to work for Visionpath?
I work at Visionpath because they believe in giving everyone the same opportunities – no matter where you’re from or how much money you have, you have an equal opportunity to everyone else.

What's the best part of your job?
The most satisfying part of my job is going out and seeing candidates showing an interest in the opportunities available, then seeing them go on to succeed and grow.
Why do you think businesses are mad to miss out on socially diverse talent?
Because there are so many different types of talent being missed out on. With the backing of us here at Visionpath, these students have the potential to go far in life – I think other businesses are completely missing a trick.

What advice would you give your 18-year-old self?
Keep doing what you’re doing and believe in yourself.
What do you love to do outside of work?
When I’m not working I love to read. Fun fact: I once read a whole book in a day! I find it enhances my imagination and creativity, which I can then bring into my work. I also find ice skating really relaxing. As someone who struggles with anxiety and depression, finding something fun that also puts my mind at ease is really important for me.
Here at Visionpath, we do what we do because we want all young people – no matter their background – to start their career on an equal footing. And because we know that, right now, businesses are missing out on a wealth of untapped talent.
